S. Manojkumar, a diabetic for the last 20 years and had a stent due to cardiac related issues. However, just before the Corona period (covid19) he met with an accident and had multiple fractures on his left leg for which he underwent surgery and a fixed steel plate inside. Due to diabetes, the wound didn't heal and got septic. Then he did plastic surgery to cure that. 

Due to an overdose of antibiotics and steroids, both kidneys got affected and worsened in 2021. Both kidneys failed and doctors advised dialysis.  In view of his financial difficulties, he didn't go for it and tried homeopathy treatment. Suddenly his creatine levels increased to 10 and he completely lost vision in 1 eye last month and started losing vision in the 2nd eye. 2 weeks back he lost vision in 2nd eye also. After conducting all the tests and knowing about his kidney failure, the doctors at  Aravind Eye Hospital advised him to bring down the creatinine levels prior to eye surgery. After undergoing  7 sessions of  dialysis and related treatment at Saveetha Medical College his creatine levels have come down to 3.5. Subsequently, doctors at Aravind Eye Hospital Hospital have fixed eye surgery on Wednesday 2nd November for operating one eye. He has to continue the dialysis side by side.  During the last two years after the accident, his income has totally stopped, and even for taking dialysis, he has to look for a helping hand.
